Disclaimer
The short version: The Grant Map is an independent research tool. We are not a government agency, we do not administer grants, and we cannot guarantee that any program is current, accepting applications, or will approve you. Always verify with the official program contact before you rely on anything here.
Owner approved. Effective date: . Existing accepted or signed customer agreements remain controlling.
No government affiliation
The Grant Map is operated by StanHattie LLC, a private Iowa company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or funded by any city, county, state, federal agency, utility, or nonprofit listed on this site. Program names, logos, and official websites are used for identification purposes only.
Not legal, financial, or tax advice
Content on The Grant Map is for informational purposes only. It is not legal advice, financial advice, tax advice, or a recommendation to apply for any specific program. Grant eligibility, tax implications, and program rules vary by jurisdiction and change over time. Consult a qualified attorney, financial advisor, or tax professional before making decisions based on information you find here.
Accuracy and currency of information
Grant programs change: funding can run out, income limits can be adjusted, deadlines can move, and contact information can become outdated. Link checks and fact review are different controls, and their cadence can vary. A resolving link shows only that the URL resolved at the recorded check time; it does not confirm the program identity, facts, availability, application route, or eligibility rules on the page. An Unknown funding status means availability has not been confirmed; it is not a claim that funding is open.
Always verify every detail directly with the administering organization before submitting an application, hiring a contractor, or incurring any expense. A detail page shows the source, application, or contact information we have on file; a link can lead to a general agency page rather than a program-specific application, and a phone number may be unavailable.
Our program records are compiled using automated and AI-assisted research combined with human review and link checks. The records can be incomplete, duplicated, mislabeled, or wrong. Follow the cited source, confirm that it refers to the program shown, and verify the details with the administering organization before relying on them. The public data-health endpoint reports measured checks, not a guarantee about every fact.
Farm & Rural pilot
Farm & Rural is a separate public pilot with its own privacy-minimal profile, vocabulary, reviewed rules, matcher, and program records. A screening result is a research lead, not an eligibility or award decision and not a finding that a property meets an administrator's rural, farm, agricultural, utility, credit, income, or business definition. The administering organization's written terms and direct confirmation control.
Data API and evaluation
The public sample, schema, health, readiness, and OpenAPI surfaces support technical inspection of the Home program corpus. They do not prove that every row is correct or available, create an eligibility or credit decision, or include the separate Farm & Rural pilot. A city-program row can be a city-specific presentation of a broader program rather than a distinct program. Confirm identity, scope, dates, and terms with the administering organization.
No bulk export, flat file, or snapshot is currently purchasable or deliverable. File delivery remains blocked unless the included source domains have reviewed rights decisions and the exact delivery scope has approved private storage, buyer authorization, receipt, revocation, retention, and deletion controls. See the Dataset Licensing and API terms.
No guarantee of eligibility or funding
Listing a program on The Grant Map does not mean you qualify for it, that funding is still available, or that your application will be approved. Eligibility decisions are made solely by the program administrator using their own rules, their own review process, and their own funding constraints. We have no control over and no visibility into their decisions.
Dollar amounts and savings claims
Amounts shown are published ceilings, examples, or ranges for one program, not a promise of what you will receive. The Grant Map does not add ceilings from separate programs into a personal funding total. Your actual award depends on eligibility, eligible costs, available funds, coordination rules, and the administrator's review. Many applicants receive less than the maximum; some receive nothing.
Contractor directory
Listing on The Grant Map is free for contractors; they pay only when they accept a homeowner lead. Paid leads that pass the sellability checks range from $20 to $500. The exact one-time price is shown before acceptance and reflects the job, its scope, the local market, and lead quality. A lead with insufficient core information is not sold at a lower price. Inclusion is not an endorsement of work quality, licensing, insurance, or reliability. The "Grant-Approved" badge is The Grant Map's label after manual review of a claimed profile and its stated program experience; it is not government approval and does not mean we independently verified licensing, insurance, work quality, or a project outcome. Verify license, insurance, references, and fit before hiring.
Some listings are "unclaimed," meaning we built them from publicly available business records rather than from the contractor signing up. Unclaimed listings are labeled as sourced from public records and not yet verified, they do not carry the "Grant-Approved" badge, and their presence is not an endorsement. A contractor can claim through the listing's claim page when a usable public business email is on file. Email support@thegrantmap.com to correct or remove an unclaimed listing; support email is not a manual claim route.
A contractor account can activate automatically after the possession, profile, email, service-area, duplicate, abuse, and contact-revalidation checks that apply to its path pass. Automatic activation is only an account state. It does not grant a badge, endorsement, license or insurance verification, or homeowner contact access. Every matching contractor listed in the directory for whom we have a usable business email may receive a contact-free offer, whether the listing is claimed or unclaimed. Exactly one eligible contractor can unlock contact. The first contractor whose signed-in free-credit acceptance completes or whose exact paid charge finalizes receives the contact, and the lead closes immediately for everyone else. Our database enforces that one-contractor limit. Nobody else is charged, uses a free credit, or receives the homeowner's contact.
External links
Our program detail pages link to cited program or agency pages, application portals, and other external resources. A cited URL may be a general agency page rather than a program-specific page. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability. Links may stop working if the external site is moved or taken down.
On city pages, a named city, metro, or state provider appears under Local help only when the repair-assistance catalog also has a probable card for the same provider and named service. Curated national and state locators are exceptions because they identify where to ask. This gate reduces unsupported links, but neither a link nor a card proves service area, open intake, eligibility, funding, an amount, or an award. Purchase-only and down-payment records are outside the public home-repair surface and cannot qualify a provider for that section.
