Implementation Notes

Isolated document. The sandboxed iframe keeps Grant Map CSS and JavaScript out of the host document.
No embedded form tracking. It loads a public city index and opens the selected city page; it does not collect names, emails, or project details.
Discovery boundary. This is a The Grant Map-branded city-directory browser, not an eligibility screen, applicant intake, application tool, or white-label product.
Live city list. The dropdown is fetched from the Grant Map API each time the widget loads, so new cities appear automatically.
No partner reporting. The current embed does not receive a partner identifier or publish partner-specific metrics. Localization beyond the English and Spanish twins, co-branding, eligibility screening, and aggregate reporting require a separately reviewed scope.
Language access. Use /es/widget-embed for the Spanish-language twin.
Opens in a new tab. Residents are sent to thegrantmap.com/city/[slug] without navigating away from your site.
Mobile responsive. On small screens the button stacks below the dropdown for easy tapping.
Accessible. Includes ARIA labels, keyboard navigation, and focus indicators out of the box.
Transparent attribution. The visible attribution is branded and marked nofollow; partners are not asked to participate in a link scheme.
